Hair part 2

Still working on Eloise's hair.

Attempt #1

Attempt #2

Here comes the sun!

First, we had a great time at the Young Life Camp in Buena Vista this past weekend. We went with 5 of our youths and enjoyed some family time as well. Nice R&R. Nice pool, eh? Second, Eloise and I celebrated the end of the snow in our backyard on Monday. It's Spring and we love being outside!

Super Eloise!

Pajama cape, lightning speed, superhero stare, grumblings about her silly dad.

"You don't have HAIR" --Bob the Tomato

Eloise now has a LOT of hair and she definitely needs her hairbrush (Veggie Tales, anyone?). Here is one of my most current solutions to the craziness--hair clips in the front. They look adorable! but only last for about 20 minutes. This is Eloise's version of before and after photos that you see on TLC television programs and hair dye boxes (just ask Jen and Kathryn about that one--are you reading this blog...)
And yes, as you might have noticed on your nightly weather report, we are still getting dumped on out here. We're in the midst of a storm that should drop about 1 foot. The upside is this--we're going skiing tomorrow! Our last outing of the year (mountain closes Sunday despite the copious amount of snow). Hope everyone else is enjoying some sun right about now...

Compromised!

As you might have noticed, our blog has a virus. I've noticed other blogspots have the same thing. Do not click on any of the links in the comment portion of the blog. Sorry about that!

Is it really Spring?

In some places in the valley, we got more than 2 feet of snow in the last 24 hours! Tons of snow! Molly came to visit last week, and we had a wonderful time. Unfortunately we got ZERO photos of Eloise and Molly together. We'll have to be more conscientious about that next time! Happy Spring to everyone else. We'll get our's soon, I hope!

P.S. I was getting tired of our blog color. I went with pink b/c Eloise is a girl. We have lots of pink around these days!

Easter Post

Happy Easter!! We had a fun Easter weekend with my sister here. It's been beautiful and sunny. Eloise participated in her first Easter egg hunt on Saturday. She wasn't really in to it because 1) she doesn't like walking in snow 2) she doesn't like falling in snow 3) she didn't understand the point of finding eggs. We had fun seeing some of our friends, though. I wish I got a better family photo at the church today but Eloise was finished with church (crying, tantrums), so I took her to the car so she could sleep. We did make it to brunch with the Keiths and some other friends at the Cascade hotel. It was delicious! (Notice our untraditional Easter flowers from Maui. Joanie sent us her Easter greetings with this exotic and beautiful arrangement.)

Nana, Pops, and big girl Eloise

We had a great week with Nana and Pops here. We skied a bunch--great snow and lots of sun. Eloise loved seeing her grandparents--she thinks they are the best! She is walking much more these days, and while she can walk in the Vail village with us now, she too often wants to go the opposite way. It's too early for that!

More Pics

Lauren sent these to me a few days ago. Thought I'd post them. Enjoy. Oh, by the way, check out Mockingbird's blog...you'll find it in my side bar. Awesome blog!

Francis

Our friend Lauren visited us last week. We had a blast with her! One of my favorite attributes of Lauren is her zeal for life. She loved our snow and took full advantage of it. She was tearing up the slopes during the day and in the evenings, sculpting Francis. She built us our own snow woman. We love Francis! I'm eager to get more photos from Lauren (she captured much more of the week than I did) and I'll post them soon. Eloise and I are headed to Dallas tomorrow to see Charlie and Cecilia. Cici is turning 1 on Saturday!
