NYC and Butterflies

We had the most amazing time in NYC last weekend at the Mockingbird Conference. Our only complaint was that it too short. We heard some amazing speakers--Dr. Steven Paulson and Dr. Dorothy Martyn--and spent some time with dear friends. Being in NYC was an added bonus.

On Museum Monday, we headed over to the Museum of Natural History to visit the butterfly room. It's a neat habitat with over 40 species of butterflies. We were all mesmerized watching the beautiful butterflies all around us.

A Fun Packed Weekend

We are concluding a wonderful weekend of family and friends. We spent Saturday in Baltimore with Tim and Maggie for their pre-wedding celebrations, some old friends from W&L and Pittsburgh visited, and we got some quality time with Nana and Pops. Eloise and I are dressed and ready for Maggie's shower while the boys headed to Tim's hour to play Texas Hold 'Em.

Maggie had a beautiful shower. Meeting all of Tim's family was a pleasure, and Eloise loved all the candy and sweets!

Here is Mrs. Farrell and Mrs. Large.

Sunday Morning some dear old friends came over for brunch. They were in town for a wedding, and I was so happy they could come by and hang out. Between Matt's rhymes and Jen's story telling, we were in stitches laughing! The Tomos from Pittsburgh came over for lunch, and it was wonderful meeting their little girl. Unfortunately Eloise kept hoarding her toys and there were lots of tears so we didn't get any photos.

Eloise loved getting an "Eloise sandwich" from her Nana and Pops. She didn't want that to end. She kept yelling "again! again!"

To top the weekend of activity off, we've had beautiful weather. Trees are blooming, the sun is out, and we can finally relax outside. Here's to a long Spring!

Ski Day

Yesterday, Saturday, we had a wonderful ski day.  But I've got nothing to show for it!  Can you believe it?  I even remembered my camera.  We were too busy skiing or playing with our little friend Maddie to stop and take photos.  Unfortunately we were 2 days early--should have gone skiing tomorrow.  Not yesterday.
